As part of your onboarding, you'll be instructed to review your ecommerce settings. These settings are applied marketplace-wide and cannot be configured per seller. These settings relate to defining your merchant fees and remittance delays.
Configure your checkout page in Configuration > Ecommerce Settings.
Cart & Checkout Settings
- Use reCAPTCHA during checkout?: Detects and prevents bots and automated scripts from checking out. Currently supports Braintree, Adyen, and Epayco.
- Require acceptance of terms and conditions during checkout?: Tick box appears underneath customer shipping details at checkout.
- Require phone number during checkout?: The customer cannot proceed with payment until a phone number has been supplied.
- Require a message to sellers during checkout?: Customer cannot proceed with payment until a message to the seller has been supplied.

Require identity document during checkout?: The customer cannot proceed with payment until the identity document type and ID number have been supplied.
Note: This is not ID verification.
- Request ABN & purchase order number during checkout?: Mainly used for B2B Marketplaces. The customer cannot proceed until ABN & PO have been supplied.
- Show Sign In Form at Checkout?: Returning customers can sign in to their customer account. They can view order history and download invoices.
- Show the country select pop-up automatically when redirected to the cart?: This appears when customers add to their cart and check out before they complete shipping details.
- Display Company Name field on checkout page and user profile?: This is an optional field to complete at checkout. It will address the company on the invoice and in their user account if they opt to 'update customer account with these details'.
- Display American Express logo on cart and checkout pages?: If you are accepting American Express payments, you can display the AMEX logo at checkout.
- Display price difference disclaimer?: This appears on the advert page - before an item is added to the cart.
- Require expected delivery date to be provided on checkout: Customers must select a date before proceeding to payment. Available dates include the day the order is being placed.
- Required minimum checkout age: Customers are prompted to enter birth date. If age is younger than stipulated in this section, they cannot proceed to payment.
- Allow buyers to send orders as gifts?: Phone number and email address fields will become optional for the gift recipient if gift order is selected at checkout.

Deposit payments allowed?: This is enabled here but will only apply if the seller depicts when creating an advert.
Seller Portal View Advert Page View Cart View Check out View - Enable Braintree advanced fraud protection?: This must be enabled in Braintree for it to work. This does not affect the customer's view at checkout. More information can be found here.
- Send site name custom field to Kount: This must be enabled in Braintree for it to work. This does not affect the customer's view at checkout. More information can be found here.
- Enable Braintree 3D Secure support?: This must be enabled in Braintree for it to work. This does not affect the customer's view at checkout. More information can be found here.
- Threshold for stale orders with status 'payment in progress': For orders with 'payment in progress', this is the number of hours that must pass since they were last updated before we include them in notifications about stale orders that must be resolved.
Notification Settings
- Enable the SMS notification to the end user when the order is confirmed: The user/customer will receive an SMS notification confirming their order has been placed. Phone numbers must be collected at checkout.
- Enable the Email notification to the end user when the items are dispatched: The user/customer will receive an email notification confirming their order has been placed. This can also be configured at a seller level.
Abandon Cart
- Capture email address before checkout?: This shows the modal that captures the user's email address before they go to checkout. This must be enabled in order to view the next two settings.
- Send email notifications to users who have abandoned their order?: This setting can only be applied if email addresses are captured before checkout.
- Send second email notification with coupon to users who still have an abandoned order?: This setting can only be applied if email addresses are captured before checkout.
- Contacting abandoned order delay: This configuration will determine how many hours after an order has been abandoned before we contact the captured email address.
Abandon Cart Coupons
Abandon Cart Coupons only apply if a second email notification is enabled.
- Coupon description: Provide essential information about the coupon.
- Coupon discount type: Choose from percentage or flat rate.
- Coupon discount: $ or % is assumed based on the above selection.
- Abandoned order coupon contact time: This configuration will determine how many days after the initial email before we send the coupon.
Invoice Options
- Require compulsory external id collection: Sellers must enter the customer's ID number when they mark an order as 'collected'. This field does not verify ID.
- Do not calculate implied tax for orders shipped outside Australia: If selected, the implied goods and services tax (GST) won't be calculated on invoices with a shipping destination outside Australia.
Refunds
- Enable Refunds: This must be ticked to complete the returns process on the Marketplacer platform.
Order Fulfilment
- Threshold for contacting retailers if they have an invoice that is not dispatched: If an order is not marked as dispatched or collected within the specified days, they will receive an email reminder. The specified days include weekends.
