Create and manage products in the Seller portal

Sellers can add products and adverts manually, through the Seller Portal. There are multiple advert types that the marketplace operator can make available. 

• Product Adverts
• Event Adverts
• Service Adverts

The sellers can upload products in bulk through a spreadsheet or the Marketplacer API. This article explains how you can manually add products. A table listing all the product attributes is at the end of this article.

Which seller portal am I using?

Two versions of the seller portal exist, differing in appearance and menu structure. The icon in the top right-hand corner of your seller portal will tell you which instructions you need:

1. Go to the Products > Manage Products.
2. In the Manage Products page, click Add New Product. 
3. Complete the Product Information and click Next
4. Complete the Product Details tab and click Next.
5. Complete the Pricing tab and click Next.
6. You can add images, videos, and PDFs in the Media tab. 
   
   Note: You must provide a custom thumbnail image when adding a custom video URL. 
7. Click Next.
8. In the Variants tab, click Create New Variant. The Create New Variant window opens.
9. Complete all the variant details and select Save Variant.
10. To add more variants, repeat from step 7. 
11. Once you are ready to add the product, click Submit.

Add products manually through the legacy Seller portal

A seller or a Marketplacer operator can follow this procedure.

1. Sign in to the Seller Portal and go to Advert Management.
2. Click New Product Advert. The Product details window opens.
3. Complete all the required fields and any other details by scrolling down the window and making selections. Options are described below.
4. Add features and specifications if applicable. You can add these features and specifications: dimensions, materials, and characteristics.
5. After completing all the mandatory fields, click Next: Define your product to save the product.
6. In the Review and Update window, define the product and all variations further such as sizes, colors, and the like. For more details, refer to Edit product categories and variants as a seller.
7. Create as many variants as you need. 

   

8. Enter additional and optional product information. Details below.
9. When you have finished, select Save & Publish or Update & Publish.
