Marketplacer supports two approaches to team member authentication:
- Marketplacer accounts: Use specific accounts and passwords.
- Single Sign-On (SSO): Log in via your organization's SSO Identity provider.
If SSO is enabled, the local login bypasses Marketplacer’s multi-factor authentication, and two-factor authentication is managed by the Identity Provider. Some functions, like adding a mobile phone, still require a local Marketplacer password even with SSO.
Log in with a Marketplacer account
First time logging in
- Check your email address for the welcome email containing your username and a URL for your marketplace.
- Click the URL. You will be directed to the marketplace admin portal.
- Create a new password.
You can now sign in using your username and the just created password.
Note: The URL for your marketplace instance is always going to be [yourmarketplace].marketplacer.com/administration/session/new.
Multi-factor authentication
To secure your account, a mobile phone number must be linked to your Marketplacer admin account for SMS-based 2FA codes. If it's not set up, please contact us for assistance.
- Go to your marketplace instance login URL.
- Enter your username and password.
- Enter the authentication token. This is the code sent to the associated phone number via SMS.
- Click Log in.
Note: After 10 failed login attempts, your account will be locked for 30 minutes. During this time, any login attempt, even with the correct password, will show an error message. The lock will expire after 30 minutes, and you can try again. It's recommended to reset your password before your next attempt.
