Customise the look and colour of promotions

We've made some changes to the promotions feature which are helpful for both you and your sellers. You can now change the colour of the promotions banner to better suit your brand and we've also added a promotions ribbon which will display on advert listings.  

Customise the colour of the promotions banner

To help your promotions stand out and give you more choice on the branding of your maketplace, you can now change the background colour of the promotions banner.

To do this, just follow these simple steps:

1. Login to your marketplace and select Fonts, Colours, Logos from the configuration menu.  
2. Scroll down until you reach the Promotion and Featured Colour option.
3. Select an eye-catching colour that will also compliment your site branding. 

Promotions can now be displayed on advert listings

We've received a lot of feedback on making promotions more visible at the advert level and we have now introduced the ability to highlight if an advert has a promotion applied on the listings view.

This will help differentiate adverts when browsing - so its a win-win for customers, sellers and marketplace owners.

This is available via seller accounts only and is limited to using the 'Limit to specific ads' filter at this stage. There are no changes to the marketplace sitewide promotions.

To have promotions display across your listing, follow these steps:

1. Login to a seller account and navigate to Promotions.
2. Create a new promotion as you normally would.
3. In the 'Name' field, add some punchy text that gives a short title of the promotion (eg. BUY 2, GET 1 FREE). The name will be displayed on your advert listing and within the checkout steps.
   
4. Complete the rest of the fields as normal until you reach the filters. Use the filter 'Limit to specific ads' and add the IDs of the adverts that you want the promotion applied to.
   
5. Hit save and you're done!

Currently, the advert listing will only show one promotion (if there are multiple that apply to the advert the latest promotion will display). The colour of the promotions ribbon will be the same as the promotions banner colour.
