Any paying seller can opt to pay to feature their adverts. What this means is that the advert will be pushed to the forefront of that category.
This article covers the following topics.
Enabling Featuring Adverts
Firstly, to enable the "Feature Advert" settings, navigate to Configuration > Member Settings. At the top of the page, you will be prompted with two checkboxes "Allow retailer users to feature adverts?" & "Allow private users to feature adverts?".
Subscription & Charges
Secondly, you can set the cost to feature an advert under Configuration > Member Settings > Subscriptions and Charges for both Retailers & Private Sellers.
Setup is now complete.
Styling
When an advert is featured, it will appear with a coloured border to stand out amongst the other standard adverts (non-featured) to catch the users eye. To set this colour, navigate to Configuration > Customisation > Promotion and Featured Colour (optional) and set the colour of your choice.
Seller Perspective
A seller will be prompted if they'd like to feature their advert once they select the "Publish" button when creating/edit an advert in their seller portal. A pop-up will appear (as shown below in the image) whereby they will have the option to pay for this Featured Ad, or to publish the advert normally without the benefits of featuring the advert. This Feature will last 30 days.
If your advert has variants, then you will be able to enable the "Feature my advert" function from this page as shown below.
A seller can also opt to Feature an advert at a later date if they don't think their ad is performing as well as they'd like from the "My Adverts" page. There will be an option to "Upgrade to Featured for $x.00".
Admin Perspective
As an administrator, you can feature a retailers advert for free under Adverts > Search Advert ID number > Upgrade to featured. However please note this feature is only available to retailers who are paying a subscription fee/ are pre-paid.
