When enabled, a popup appears at the very top of every page informing the user that the website uses cookies, and that by visiting the site, the user is allowing the website to process the information obtained by using these cookies.
This notification is a legal requirement in the EU.

Precheck EDM subscription on forms
When enabled the subscribe box will be automatically selected in sections where the subscribe options appear.
Require a postcode to enter a competition
When enabled, this option will require the user to enter a postcode when they fill out a competitions page.
Display checkbox under the subscribe input which users are required to check before they proceed.
When enabled, the email address input on the footer will be hidden and the subscribe checkbox will appear below the email address input box on the subscribe page.

This will enable you to display a legal warning in the footer on each page. You will also need to change the content displayed, including names and numbers of the applicable laws, through the language customisations tool.
