This topic is for Marketplacer customers who use Adobe Commerce (Magento) as their e-commerce platform. If you are a seller who uses Adobe Magento to provide products to Marketplacer customers, see Adobe Commerce (Magento) for Sellers.
We recommend that an implementation partner or developer perform this step after the integration has been installed, set up and products are mapped.
Run some example scenarios to test whether the connection works as expected between Marketplacer and Adobe Commerce. Do this by following through from product creation, through ordering to shipping.
Create a product in Marketplacer
-
Log in to Marketplacer and create an advert (product) with a single variant.
- At the top of the window, select Connected Platform.
- Select Event Streams. This shows all the individual data sync events between Marketplacer and Adobe Commerce.
-
Check that the following events occurred:
- An advert (product) was created without a variant.
- Seller info synced to Adobe Commerce.
- A variant was created and synced to Adobe Commerce, along with the seller and the existing configurable advert.
Check the product was created
- Log in to Adobe Commerce and view the new product.
-
Check that all the details you entered in Marketplacer have come through. You should see a configurable product, and a simple product, and the configurable product should be associated with the simple product.
Newly created productsAssociation on the Configurable Product page
Note: The item quantity in Adobe Commerce will be higher than shown in Marketplacer if there is a reservation for an item.
- Create other adverts (products) in Marketplacer with different sellers, until you have enough to create an order in Adobe Commerce.
Create a test order
-
Create a test order with items from two separate Marketplacer sellers, as well as an item from an Adobe Commerce first-party seller (for example: your product). For example, as shown below.
The order you create needs to have a status of Invoiced so that Marketplacer recognizes the order as processing.
Check the order has synced to Marketplacer
- Back in Marketplacer, select Connected Platform > Event Stream and check the order details have synced. This may take up to 10 minutes as that is the default interval at which Marketplacer checks the Adobe Commerce server for new orders.
- When the order details have synced back to Marketplacer, the event stream will look something like this.
-
Go to Orders > All Sales. You should now see the order and each item separately, listed as outstanding.
Ship the order as the seller
- Open the relevant the Seller's view in Marketplacer. To do this, go to Members > Manage Sellers and select the link under the seller's Account Name.
- Go to Outstanding Orders and select the order.
- Enter shipment details and select Dispatch.
- Check if the item is marked as Shipped and the order is updated to Complete.
