Users may encounter a Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) issue where Twilio temporarily blocks a phone number. This typically happens when Twilio detects potential fraudulent activity associated with the number. The block is a security measure implemented by Twilio and does not indicate any intentional fraud by the user.
When this issue occurs, users will see the following error message during login:
Error! The destination phone number has been temporarily blocked by Twilio due to fraudulent activities. +630000000000 prefix is blocked for the SMS channel.
This block is automated but can be resolved by contacting support to unblock the impacted numbers.
