What is Weglot?
Weglot is a translation service that enables automated language translation for the Operator portal, Seller portal, M Connect, and Cerberus.
What does the Weglot integration do?
Weglot automatically translates marketplace content into different languages. Users can choose their preferred language from a language switcher displayed on the site.
What is a Weglot project?
A Weglot project connects a Marketplacer instance to Weglot. It manages the marketplace’s languages, translations, and settings.
Translation functionality
Does Weglot translate everything?
Weglot translates most marketplace content. However, it does not translate:
- Emails and PDF files generated by Marketplacer (e.g., invoices).
- Some small parts of the seller portal that require the Language Customization feature.
Operators can manage and update translations directly in Weglot if needed. This includes:
- Editing translations for accuracy.
- Setting rules for specific words or phrases.
- Excluding content from translations.

Does this replace the Marketplacer Language Customization feature?
No. Customers who need to customize the language of PDFs, emails, and certain seller portal elements should continue to use Language Customization. However, Weglot can translate the updated Language Customization content.
How many translated words does a marketplace typically require?
From initial testing, one language across the operator and seller portals plus M Connect required just over 32,000 words.
Why do I see English content before the translation appears?
Weglot is a front-end translation service, meaning it translates content dynamically when a page is loaded. If Weglot has not previously translated a page, there may be a brief delay before the translated content appears.
Why doesn’t the language selection persist in M Connect or Cerberus?
The language selection is stored in a cookie, but since M Connect and Cerberus are on separate domains, they do not share cookies with the marketplace application. Users will need to select their language again in those applications.
What happens if a customer finds content that should not be translated?
This should be managed by excluding specific content in Weglot. Customers can request content exclusions by reaching out to their support team.
Support and troubleshooting
What happens if a translation issue is reported?
Translation issues are reviewed and triaged based on standard support processes. Most translation-related issues fall under lower-priority support levels but will be addressed accordingly.
What if the translated UI appears broken?
In some cases, certain elements (e.g., buttons or layouts) may not display correctly when translations are applied. If this occurs, customers should report the issue so it can be reviewed and resolved.
How quickly will issues be resolved?
Issues are managed based on standard support SLAs (Service Level Agreements). Most translation-related concerns are considered low-severity, but each issue is reviewed individually.
Billing and word limits
What happens if a marketplace reaches its translation word limit?
Weglot notifies the customer when they are approaching their translation limit. Once the limit is reached, any new content will not be translated and will remain in English. Customers can either:
- Upgrade their Weglot plan to increase the word limit.
- Remove unnecessary translations from Weglot.
What are the available Weglot plans?
Marketplacer offers different Weglot pricing plans based on the number of languages and translated words required. Customers interested in enabling Weglot should contact their customer success representative for details.
