This article explains how to access the Marketplacer data you want to analyze and explores some common use cases.
Marketplace data available for Analysis
Available Today
There are several ways to access analytical data from the Marketplacer platform today:
Downloadable CSV Extracts
Download spreadsheet extracts, such as the All Sales Report, to be analyzed either in Excel/Google Sheets or by loading it into a Business Intelligence (BI) platform.
This requires regular extraction and transformation of data before it is ready for analysis.
Transactional APIs and Webhooks
Operators who use Marketplacer's transactional APIs and Webhooks can store this data and use it for analysis.
This method also requires regular extraction and transformation of data before it can be considered ready for analysis.
Dashboards and Reports
Marketplacer performance insights are accessible in the Operator portal. These dashboards cover two performance areas:
- Sales: Focuses on financial performance of the marketplace as a whole and top/bottom 10 sellers. Metrics covered are:
- Total Order Value
- Commission
- Number of sellers
- Average order value
- Operations: Focuses on operational performance of the marketplace as a whole, as well as the top and bottom 10 sellers.
Snowflake Data Sharing
Accessing raw and aggregated insights via Snowflake Data sharing. Once Snowflake Data Sharing is enabled, customers have access to three main schema:
- Conform Schema: Contains ready-to-query non-PII views of Marketplacer's core data domains, including Sellers, Orders, Invoices, Refunds, Cancellations, Shipments, Promotions, Products, Variants, Taxonomy, External IDs, Metadata, and custom fields.
- PII Schema: Contains the PII fields from Conform views. This ensures the data can be accessed in a compliant manner, and PII data is only shared with relevant people on the customer's side.
- Modelled Schema: Pre-built aggregated insights by combining multiple views from the Conform Schema. This covers domains like seller financial and operational performance.
