The stock level of an advert on your marketplace may not update if the item is no longer present in the integrations import, and here is how to prevent this issue.
- Login to your integrations manager.
- Click Settings.
- Enable the Mark adverts as inactive setting.
- Click Update settings.
A process will run once every 24 hours (at approximately ~1300AEST) that finds any ads that are no longer present in the product feed will set the stock to 0 in Marketplacer, making them inactive in your marketplace.
When the Integrations Manager creates an item in your marketplace from your preferred source (e.g. Shopify), it imports the product data needed from your Shopify and uploads it to your marketplace, creating a unique link between them.
Each time an import runs, the integrations manager will capture changes to the stock level on your Shopify store. However, if the original item is removed from Shopify, there is no data to read and therefore nothing to update in your marketplace.
For example, you have one large white t-shirt for sale on Shopify and your marketplace. You sell the item on Shopify and it is removed from the Shopify storefront before the next import runs. The integrations manager cannot find the large white t-shirt. As a result, the t-shirt still has a stock level of 1 on the marketplace, despite being out of stock and removed from Shopify.
