The Seller Portal gives you two bulk functions to save time when working with large catalogs:
- Add new products: Add products and variants into categories in bulk, whether they are new categories or categories you already offer.
- Manage product information using multi sheet: Manage existing products and variants in bulk, and create new ones in specific categories using category-based sheets and dropdowns.
- Manage product information using single sheet: Update existing products and variants in bulk from a single All Products sheet, ideal for fast changes to prices, stock levels, SKUs, and IDs.
Each function generates a spreadsheet you can edit and re-upload, but the purpose of each is different.
Examples
- You want to start selling Accessories > Sunglasses, which doesn’t exist in your catalog yet, use Add new products.
- You already sell Mens > T-Shirts and want to add a new color variant, plus update prices, use Manage product information.
Quick comparison
| Function | Purpose | Spreadsheet source | Typical use cases |
| Add products and variants into new categories in bulk | Create products and variants in categories (new or existing) | Built from categories you select | Launch into a new category, add fresh products to an existing category, initial catalog setup |
| Manage products and variants in bulk | Update or enrich products and variants you already have (with the ability to also create new ones in those categories) | Generated from your current catalog | Stock updates, price/description changes, image updates, add new variants, recategorize products |
Which one should I use?
- Use Add new products if you’d like to create products in categories you don’t yet offer, or in categories you already have but want to build out further.
- Use Manage product information if you want to enrich products you already have (e.g., update prices, stock, images) and, if needed, also create new products and variants within those same categories.

Manage products and variants in bulk
Use this function when you want to update or enrich products and variants already in your catalog, with the flexibility to also create new ones in those categories. Learn more.
When you generate the spreadsheet, you can choose multi sheet (one sheet per category) or single sheet (all products in one table), depending on how you want to work.
- The spreadsheet is generated from your current product catalog.
- Products are tied to their Ad IDs, and you can update details such as price, stock, images, and descriptions.
You can also add new products or variants in existing categories by entering new and variant in the Ad ID column. Do not enter these values in Variant ID or other ID columns. Learn more.
- System fields (like Category number or IDs) must not be changed.
- To clear an optional field, type DELETE_VALUE instead of leaving it blank.
- Ideal for:
- Updating stock levels across multiple SKUs
- Correcting brand names, prices, or descriptions
- Adding new variants (e.g., colors or sizes) into categories you already sell in
- Recategorizing products via the Missing Category workflow
- Updating many existing products in a single worksheet using the single sheet option.
