Operators, particularly in the US, may wish to retain the sales tax charged at purchase. To facilitate this you are able to toggle include or exclude taxes from remittance advices. An example of this is adherence to US Marketplace Facilitator Laws. Always consult a qualified accountant when making decisions that may impact your tax requirements.
In the Operator portal, navigate to Configuration -> Finance Settings and the below options will be available:
Note that with these setting unchecked, remittances will continue to have any applicable item and postage tax included.
When they are checked, taxes will be treated as a fee and subtracted from a remittance advise as per the below examples.

Settings checked (taxes withheld from seller)
The status of the checkboxes are taken into effect at the time an order is placed and will not effect orders historically, even if they have not yet been remitted.
