Product features and variations
*Category, Category 2, Category 3, Category 4, Category 5 (required when publishing)
This is the Marketplacer-defined category and subcategories for the Marketplacer product taxonomy. The number of Type fields required/used depends on the taxonomy. If you are using bulk upload to map products, you need to enter the product taxonomy exactly as it is set up in Marketplacer else you will get an error. If you are unsure, contact the marketplace operator.
*Brand (mandatory when publishing)
The brand is the maker of the product. Brand names are validated only when "Publish Advert (yes/no)" is set to Yes. The brand names must match the brand names in Marketplacer if they already exist. In that case, ensure that the spelling and capitalization are exactly similar to the existing ones in Marketplacer. Leave blank if you do not use brands.
Gender (m/f/unisex)
Set whether the product is for men, women, or is unisex. This appears as a feature on the page. The customers can search by gender (unless disabled). This will default to unisex if left blank.
Category before mapping
If you create products from scratch through the bulk upload spreadsheet, you can disregard this field. However, if you use the bulk upload spreadsheet for mapping purposes only (after a product is imported through MConnect or API), this field helps know what to map a product into.

Variant Option Value 1
This is the product variant value. For example, Red.

Variant Notes / Notes
Variant Notes can help during product mapping. For example, enter ‘Color: Red’. There is no need to update this when adding or updating an advert.
The Notes column is the equivalent Note field on the product (advert).
Feature Option Type
Name of a product feature, for example, Material. Similar to variants, the feature names, and values must match the setup in Marketplacer. For instance, if a seller’s product has the feature ‘Material’ and the marketplace does not, an error occurs when uploading the product. This is validated against a list of values maintained by the operator.
Feature Option Value
Enter a value for each feature option name. For example, oak or silk. This is validated against a list of values maintained by the operator.
Product Details
Use this field to enter any optional Product features, also known as Free Text or Dropdown option types. The Marketplacer operator must enable this option for categories. You must use a key value format in this field, similar to Key: Value, where the Key is the Option Type and the Value is the Option Value. Dropdown values are validated against what the operator has enabled. Key and values are not case sensitive and multiple values are separated by a comma (,).
Example:
Breed: Poodle, Age Group: Adult
