Your marketplace operator may have set up automated transformations that reformat product titles and descriptions to meet their content standards. When a transformation runs on one of your products, you will see a transformation status on that product and the updated text in your advert. You do not need to configure anything.
What you will see
Transformations run automatically when a new advert is created or when a product's title or description changes. Once your operator has enabled transformations, each affected product displays one of four statuses:
- Processing: The transformation is queued or running. Results usually apply within 10–15 minutes, though this is not guaranteed.
- Completed: The transformed text has been applied. The product's title or description now reflects the updated content.
- Failed: The transformation did not apply. The product keeps its original text and no action is required from you.
- Blocked by Catalog Rules: Your product has failed catalog rules set by your operator. The transformation will not run until the catalog rule errors are resolved.
Note: A Failed status does not affect your product's listing status. Your original text is always preserved regardless of the outcome.
Once a transformation has completed, the transformed title or description appears in the Edit advert form. The original value is preserved and remains accessible in the Review panel.

When you export your adverts, transformation status is available as a selectable field in the spreadsheet export. While a transformation is still processing, the export includes the raw field values as they currently stand. Once a transformation is complete, the transformed values appear on the actual fields in the export.
Review changes
A Review panel shows the original and transformed values for your product's title and description side by side. Use it to see exactly what has changed.
Why did my text change?
Your operator uses transformations to automatically standardize product data across their marketplace. Transformations can reformat your product titles and descriptions in a number of ways, including:
- Capitalizing words consistently (Title Case)
- Correcting description casing (Sentence case)
- Removing special characters
- Trimming titles or descriptions to a set length
- Removing extra spaces, tabs, or line breaks
- Stripping HTML tags from text fields
These changes are applied automatically and do not indicate an error with your listing. Your original text is always preserved and visible in the Review panel. If you have questions about a specific transformation, contact your operator directly.
