Step 1: Set up Shippit
You need to enable a shipment webhook, which allows updates to the status of created and dispatched packages. You also need to note the Shippit API key.
- Login to your Shippit account.
- Go to Settings -> Integrations
- Copy or otherwise record the Shippit API key.
- In the Webhook URL field enter the marketplace's URL in the following pattern:
https://[public domain]/webhooks/shippit
e.g. https://www.marketplacer.com/webhooks/shippit - Click Update.
Step 2: Set up Marketplacer
The seller needs to link the seller portal to their Shippit account.
Which seller portal am I using?
Two versions of the seller portal exist, differing in appearance and menu structure. The icon in the top right-hand corner of your seller portal will tell you which instructions you need:

- Go to Shipping Settings via the top right menu. The Shipping Details screen displays.
- Scroll down to Connect to Shipping Partners.
- Click View connections under the Shippit icon.
- Tick the Enabled? option.
- Enter the API key you recorded from Shippit.
- Select one of the shipping calculation options:
- Use default shipping rates set via the seller portal.
- Use calculated rates of 'Standard or Express' via Shippit.
- Click Save Changes.

- Go to Shipping Settings via the top right menu.
The Shipping Details screen displays. - Scroll down to Logistics Partners.
- Select the Shippit icon.
- Enter the API key you recorded from Shippit.
- Select Enable Shippit.
- Select one of the shipping calculation options:
- Use default shipping rates set via the seller portal.
- Use calculated rates of 'Standard or Express' via Shippit.
- A message below the shipping calculation options displays either
- the number of products in the seller’s range that are missing dimensions and weight.
- “Valid dimensions have been set on all adverts”.
- Click Save Changes.
