Add option values to variants or features

After creating variants or features and clicking Create in the New option type page, the Add Option Value button displays. Option values are the values that users can select from when creating a product. For example, the option values for dog kennel Materials can be timber, metal, or plastic.

To add option values

1. Click Add Option Value.
2. Enter values for these fields:
   • Name
   • Presentation
3. To edit the the option value, click the edit icon.
4. To delete the option value, click the delete icon.
5. To rearrange the option values, click and drag to update the option values.
   
   Note: Rearranging the option values affects how they are listed on the front end and in the drop-down menu when sellers are creating a product.
6. Click Update to save.
   
   Note: If a seller has a value for a feature or variant that is not yet available from the drop-down when they are creating a product, the operator or admin must add this value to the relevant option type before the seller can add their features or variants to the product.
7. To create a prototype, follow the steps listed in Create a prototype.

View, edit, or add option values 

After creating a variant or feature and adding option values, you can view, edit, and add option values to the existing option types by going to CATEGORISATION and selecting one of these option types:

• Variants: For variants
• Features: For features
• Product Option Details: For free text fields and drop-down fields

After that, click the name of the option type from the list. This action opens the editing page for the option type you selected.
