In-app chat is a text-based communication tool on the Marketplacer platform, facilitating near real-time, company-to-company conversations between Operators and Sellers. This streamlined communication enhances issue resolution for partners within the Marketplacer ecosystem.

Different Operator users can view conversations initiated by any of their peers with Sellers, even though Sellers interact with a single Operator persona in the chat. This means that from the Seller’s perspective, they only chat with one Operator, but the conversation can be seen and taken over by different Operator users. Only the following Operator roles can chat with a seller:
- Customer Support
- Marketing
- Finance
- Webmaster
- Full Admin
Before sellers can use in-app chat, you must enable it in your operator portal. Once enabled, the feature is available to all sellers on your marketplace.
Note: In-app chat is only available to operators who have enabled Seller Portal.
It is a key term of your use of this Service that you must not input any personal, sensitive, or financial data into the Service.
How to enable in-app chat
- In the operator portal, go to Configuration > Account Settings.
- Check the Enable in-app chat box to enable it.
- Click Submit to save your changes.
How to chat with your sellers
- Sign in to the operator portal.
- Go to SELLERS > Chat.
- Find a seller conversation in the left panel, or use the search bar to search for a seller.
- Click the seller to open the conversation.

Type your message in the text box and hit enter to send.
Note: The grey checkmark next to your name will turn green when the seller reads your message.
