How to use AI Category Mapping to categorise products and create mappings

AI Category Mapping helps you categorise products faster by suggesting a best-match marketplace category for each product. You can review suggestions one by one or in bulk, and you can save mappings so future products under the same source category are categorised more quickly. Learn more.

What each tab is for

• AI suggestions: Products with suggested categories that you can confirm, reject, or recategorise.
• Categorisation required: Products that need manual attention because a category could not be suggested with confidence, or because a suggestion was rejected.
• Products categorised: Products that have already been categorised, including products categorised through AI Suggestions and products categorised through other methods (for example, spreadsheets or API).
• Category mappings: Saved mappings between a source category and a marketplace category.

How to open AI category mapping

1. Log in to the Seller Portal.
2. Go to Products > Product Mapping.
   

How to confirm or recategorise suggested categories

1. Open the AI Suggestions tab.
2. Review the product details by clicking the product title.
   • Click Confirm to move the product to Products categorised.
     
     OR
   • Click Recategorize and manually change the category, then click Confirm after choosing a category.

How to confirm or recategorize products with no suggested categories

1. Open the Categorisation required tab.
   
2. Select a category for the product.
3. Click Confirm.

Find products faster with search, filters, and bulk actions

1. Search for products using titles, keywords, barcodes, or SKUs.
2. Filter products to narrow your list:
   • Suggested Categories: Filter by the suggested marketplace category.
   • Source Categories: Filter by the source category.
   • Brand: Filter by the product brand.
3. Update multiple products at once using bulk actions:
   • Confirm: Confirms the suggested category for selected products.
   • Reject: Rejects the suggested category for selected products.
   • Recategorise: Changes the category for selected products.

Create a category mapping

Create a mapping when the same source category consistently maps to the same marketplace category. Once saved, mappings help reduce repeated work for future products under that source category.

1. Filter the list to products that share the same source category and the same correct marketplace category.
2. Select the products in the list, then toggle Create mapping?.
3. Confirm the mapping in the pop-up.
4. Review saved mappings in the Category mappings tab and remap if needed.
