AI Category Mapping helps you map product categories faster by suggesting the best-match marketplace category for each product. It’s designed for cases where a single seller source category can map to multiple marketplace categories, and it reduces the risk of incorrect category matches by checking products individually.
Note: During the beta period, each Seller can process up to 250 products using AI category mapping at no cost. Any products beyond this limit will be placed in the Categorisation Required section for manual categorisation.

Why use AI category mapping
Traditional mapping works well for one-to-one values, but categories often need more context than the source category name alone. AI Category Mapping uses product information to make a product-by-product category suggestion, which is especially useful when adding new products or onboarding new sellers.
How suggestions are prioritized
If a product appears in AI Suggestions, the suggested category is considered a high-confidence match.
What each tab is for
- AI suggestions: Products with suggested categories that you can confirm, reject, or recategorise.
- Categorisation required: Products that need manual attention because a category could not be suggested with confidence, or because a suggestion was rejected.
- Products categorised: Products that have already been categorised, including products categorised through AI Suggestions and products categorised through other methods (for example, spreadsheets or API).
- Category mappings: Saved mappings between a source category and a marketplace category.
Key actions and time-savers
- Create mapping: Save a mapping between a seller’s source category and a marketplace category so future products under the same source category are mapped consistently.
- Bulk actions: Select multiple products and perform actions like Confirm, Reject, or Recategorize in one go.
- Keyword search: Search by product titles, keywords, barcodes, and SKUs, including pasting multiple barcodes into the search bar for quick filtering.
- Filters: Filter products by suggested categories, source categories, and brand to group similar items for faster review.
- Product details: Click a product title to view key product information such as description, price, barcode, suggested category, and source category.
