Edit product categories and variants as a seller

If you need to change the category or variants for a product, you can do this by editing the product advert. 

You might need to do this for the following reasons:

• You add or edit products in bulk, and the category or variant was not assigned
• You use an integration to add products and the category or variant is not assigned
• The marketplace operator changes the product category structure.

Which seller portal am I using?

Two versions of the seller portal exist, differing in appearance and menu structure. The icon in the top right-hand corner of your seller portal will tell you which instructions you need: 

View or edit a product in seller portal 2.0

Edit product details

1. Go to Products > Manage products.  
2. Scroll the list or select Show Filters to find the product you want to view.
3. Select View Product to open the product details.
4. To modify the product information, make any required changes on the Information tab.
5. If required, select the Details, Pricing and/or Media tabs and make any required changes.
6. Select Save Changes.

Add a variant

1. Go to Products > Manage products. 
2. Scroll the list or select Show Filters to find the product you want to view.
3. Select View Product to open the product details.
4. Select the Variants tab to view variants.
5. Select Create New Variant. The Create New Variant window opens.
6. Complete all the variant details and select Save Variant. The Manage Products window displays, with the Variants tab active.
7. Select Save Changes to add the new variant.

Edit categories or variants for a product in the legacy seller portal

1. Log in to the Seller Portal.
2. Go to Advert Management > My adverts. 
3. Find the product you want to edit and select the pencil icon to edit. The Review & Update window opens for the product.
4. To edit categories: 
   • In the Advert Summary section, select the pencil icon. The product details become editable. 
   • Select or edit the categories, and update any other details you like. 
   • Scroll to the bottom of the window and select Update.
   • If enabled, the advert will be flagged for vetting by the marketplace operator.
5. To edit variants:
   • In the Variants section, select the pencil icon next to the variant you want to edit. 
   • Edit any details in the form and select Save Variant. 
   • If you need to add a variant, select Create another variant, complete the form fields and select Save Variant.
