To comply with Shopify API requirements, the Marketplacer integration requires read access to the locations permission. Without this access, the integration will not function properly.
Shopify introduced this requirement with an API update effective April, 2025. Shopify stores who have not yet updated their permissions must do so to ensure uninterrupted integration functionality.
Update your Shopify app permission
- Log in to your Shopify account.
- Go to Settings > Apps and Sales Channels.
- Select the Develop apps tab in the upper right.
- Select the custom app used to connect to your marketplace.
Note: The custom app's name or title depends on what you previously named it during setup. - In the custom app's page, click the Configuration tab.
- Select Edit in the Admin API integration card.
- In the Admin API access scopes page, go to the Locations section.
- Check the read_locations box to enable the read access permission.
- Click Save in the upper right.
