Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) adds an extra layer of security to your account by requiring you to verify your identity through your password and a Time-based One Time Password (TOTP). This helps protect your Seller Portal account from unauthorized access.

Enrolling in MFA
When logging in, you will encounter one of two MFA enrollment experiences:
-
Required enrollment: If MFA is required by the operator, you will be prompted to enroll before accessing the Seller Portal. You will see a Return to login button on the enrollment screen.
-
Optional enrollment: If MFA is optional, you may choose to enroll immediately or select Maybe Later to postpone enrollment. The postponement period is set by the Operator, but the default is seven days.
Enrolling upon log in
- Upon log in, click Get started on the MFA set up page.
- Open your authenticator app (for example, Google Authenticator) on your mobile device.
- Scan the QR code displayed on the MFA set up page.
- Enter the verification code provided by your authenticator app.
- Click Submit.
After completing these steps, you will be able to log in to the Seller Portal using MFA.
Enrolling after log in
If you are given the option to enroll in MFA and choose Maybe later, you will not be prompted to enroll for another seven days. After seven days, you will be prompted to enroll again when you log in. The postponement period is set by the Operator, but the default is seven days.
Note: You can also follow these steps if you want to enroll another device or are migrating from another device.
- In the Seller Portal, click the user icon in the upper right.
- Select User Settings.
- In the Multi-Factor Authentication section, click Set up an authenticator.
Note: If you have already enrolled an existing authenticator, you will be asked to enter the MFA code. - Open your authenticator app (for example, Google Authenticator) on your mobile device.
- Scan the QR code displayed on the MFA set up page.
- Enter the verification code provided by your authenticator app.
- Click Submit.
MFA recovery codes
When you successfully complete an MFA challenge for the first time, 10 recovery codes will be generated. These codes can be used in place of your authenticator, such as if you have lost your phone.
- You will receive an email containing these codes.
- Each code can only be used once.
To use a recovery code, enter the code in the same field you would normally enter the MFA authentication code.
Reset recovery codes
Operators signed in as a seller, primary user seller accounts, and user sellers can reset recovery codes.
- In the Seller Portal, click the user icon in the upper right.
- Select All Users.
- Find the user whose recovery code you need to reset.
- Click the three-dot menu under the Actions column.
- Select Reset Recovery Codes.
The user's new recovery codes will be sent to their registered email address, and all previous unused codes will be invalidated.
