Business verification for payouts (KYC/AML) for Sellers

This KB guides sellers through the steps to register, verify their business, and set up payouts in Seller Portal. Completing the mandatory KYC/AML verification ensures you can receive marketplace earnings.

Start business verification

1. Log in to the Seller Portal.
2. In your Seller Dashboard, click Verify now under Business Verification.
3. Provide your Business Registration Number (BRN) and confirm acceptance of the MPay terms and conditions.
4. Click Continue to verification.

Enter business information

1. Select the country/region where your business is registered and click Get started.
2. Provide your business details:
   • Entity type
   • Business name
   • ABN (if applicable)
   • Address
   • Industry
   • Monthly turnover
3. Include any relevant links, such as:
   • Company website
   • Online store links
   • Social media profiles
     These help speed up your application review.
4. Choose up to 5 primary locations where your business operates directly or indirectly.
5. Select your monthly revenue/turnover and click Save & Next.

Verify business owners

1. Provide details for the business owner(s), including government-issued ID (for example, passport or driver licence).
2. Upload any necessary ownership supporting documents, such as a shareholder register, company extract, or foreign parent entity shareholding document.
3. Confirm whether the business owners hold shares on behalf of a third party.
4. Click Confirm.

Monitor application status

1. After submission, your status will show Application under review. The review process typically takes 1–3 business days.
2. If your status changes to Supply Now, provide any requested additional information (e.g., countries of operation) promptly via the dashboard to continue the review.

MPay application status

You can track your registration status on the Seller Portal dashboard, where the MPay banner is displayed. The possible statuses are:

• Verify now: Click to start the KYC verification process.
• Application under review: Your registration is currently being reviewed.
• Supply now: Some details are missing or need to be updated.

When your registration is approved, you can proceed to set up your payout details and start receiving payments.

Set up payout method

1. Once your business is verified, provide your payout account details, including beneficiary information and preferred currency.
2. Select your active transfer method (e.g., ACH, Fedwire, SWIFT).
3. Click Save payout method to finalize.
4. To update your payout method later, click Change payout method in the Seller Portal.
