When selling stock in more than one place, there is always a risk of overselling low-stock products. Set a Stock level buffer value to help prevent stock from being sold on the Marketplacer platform before it has had time to retrieve updated stock levels from the source.
To configure a stock buffer
- Sign in to the Integrations Manager through the retailer account.
- Click Go to MConnect.
- Go to Settings.
- In the Stock buffer value box, specify the stock buffer value.
Notes:- The value must be numeric.
- The value is deducted from the stock count of each imported item.
- If the value exceeds the stock of an item, then the value is imported with 0 stock.
- This setting is available for all of our connectors.
Example: If the stock buffer value is set to 5.
Item A has 7 stock and Item B has 3 stock in Shopify. Once imported into Marketplacer, Item A has 2 stocks and Item B has 0 stock. - Click Update settings.
