The fatal error handling detection feature ensures that the MConnect accounts of Operators and Sellers are notified when an integration is disabled.
This feature offers:
- Auto-disable sync for deactivated accounts: This option automatically disables product and invoice syncing in MConnect (depending on which is failing).
Note: We automatically disable the MConnect sync if the sync fails more than 10 times. We advise the seller to monitor their emails when fatal errors occur. - Email notifications: If you enable this option, the Operators and Sellers receive email notifications when a seller's MConnect account fails to sync.
- We recommend that you enable this option to receive notifications when an MConnect sync fails.
- When this option is disabled, the sellers and operators will not receive notifications when the sync is disabled due to multiple failures, so they must closely monitor MConnect to check if a failure occurs.
Note: The logic listed above only applies if the errors that MConnect receives from third-party platforms are not recoverable. If there are temporary or ambiguous failures, we do not deactivate accounts.
Benefits of using this feature
- Transparency: If the integration is accidentally disabled in the third-party platform, the Seller and the Operator receive an email notification with instructions on how to resolve the issue.
- Stability: We automatically disable any imports for accounts that become disabled. This ensures that our infrastructure operates at full efficiency to process imports for accounts that are working by avoiding unnecessarily retrying failed attempts.
