The ability to set a merchant fee allows you to pass on payment gateway fees and charges directly to your sellers. This will have no impact on your customers or the prices they see when viewing products or at the checkout.

Setting your default Merchant Fee
You can configure a site wide merchant fee by navigating to your Configuration -> Member Settings options. From here you can set your base default merchant fees for all remittance calculations, note this can be in the form of a fixed amount, percentage amount or a combination of both:
Keep in mind that fixed merchant fee's will be applied to each invoice, whereas a merchant fee set as a percentage will be applied to a whole order value.
Configuring your Merchant Fee by Gateway
You also have the ability to overwrite your default Merchant Fee for each gateway you have integrated into your Marketplace. For example if you have a higher rate on your Afterpay Payment Gateway you can charge a different Merchant Fee for all payments facilitated via this gateway, to make these changes navigate to Configuration -> Payment Methods and select the provider hyperlink as below. Note this step can also be completed during your payment gateway configuration.
From here you will see the configurable options that can be used to overwrite your default merchant gateway fees
