Add custom rates to packages
Custom rates let you set commission rules at the category or brand level inside a package. Your package always has a default rate as a fallback — custom rules are applied on top of your default rate.
For example, you can set a 20% rate for a specific brand and a 15% rate for a skincare category, while everything else uses your default rate of 10%. When an order comes in, the platform evaluates your rules from top to bottom and applies the first match.
- Sign in to the operator portal.
- Go to Configuration > Commission Packages.
- Find the package you want to edit and select the pencil edit icon. The edit window appears.
- Select Add custom rate. The Add custom rate window appears.
- To add a category rate, follow the steps in Add a category rate.
- To add a brand rate, follow the steps in Add a brand rate.
- Select Save.
Note: New rules are always added to the bottom of your rule list. Drag rules into the order you want them evaluated. The platform applies the first matching rule on each order — all others are ignored.
Add a category rate
You can assign a custom commission rate to a specific product category, with an optional secondary rate for items above a set price point.
- Sign in to the Operator Portal.
- Go to Configuration > Commission Packages.
- Find the package you want to edit and select the pencil icon. The edit window appears.
- Select Add custom rate. The Add custom rate window appears.
- In the Select Categories dropdown, select the category you want to apply the rate to. Drill down to select a subcategory.
- Click Add Category.
- Enter a value in Custom base rate.
- (Optional) Check Add rate for different price point if you want a secondary rate for items above a set price. See Add a rate for a different price point for details.
- Select Save.
Add a brand rate
You can assign a custom commission rate to a specific brand. The rate applies to every order containing products from that brand.
- Sign in to the Operator Portal.
- Go to Configuration > Commission Packages.
- Find the package you want to edit and select the pencil icon. The edit window appears.
- Select Add custom rate. The Add custom rate window appears.
- In the Select Brand field, type the brand you want to apply the rate to.
- Enter a value in Custom base rate.
- Select Save.
Note: Brand rates and category rates can coexist in the same package. Use the drag handle on each rule to set the evaluation order.
Set rule priority order
When a package contains multiple custom rates, the platform evaluates them from top to bottom and applies the first match. Your default rate applies if no rule matches.
- In the edit window for your package, locate the list of custom rates.
- Drag a rule using its drag handle to move it up or down.
- Release the rule in the position you want.
- Select Save.
Tip: New rules always land at the bottom of the list. Reorder them before saving if you need them evaluated earlier.
Add a rate for a different price point
You can add a secondary commission rate for items in a selected category that exceed a set price point. For example, set a base rate of 15% for items at or under $100, and a secondary rate of 10% for items over $100.
- Sign in to the Operator Portal.
- Go to Configuration > Commission Packages.
- Find the package you want to edit and select the pencil icon. The edit window appears.
- Select Add custom rate. The Add custom rate window appears.
- Check the Add rate for different price point box.
- Enter a value in Custom base rate.
- Enter the threshold amount in Price.
- Enter the above-threshold rate in Secondary custom rate.
- In the Select Categories dropdown, select the category you want to apply the rate to. Drill down to select a subcategory.
- Select Save.
Note: Price point rates are available for category rules only.
