When there is a fulfillment event in Shopify, a shipment is created in Marketplacer. This means:
- If an order containing multiple products or single products with quantities greater than one, is partially fulfilled in Shopify, those dispatched items are marked as shipped in Marketplacer.
- Courier and tracking information is sent to Marketplacer for each shipment. When a single invoice has multiple shipments, these shipments are all viewable from the Marketplacer Seller Portal.
- When a part of a shopper's order is shipped, the shopper receives dispatch notification emails, including tracking information if applicable.
These are the benefits of the Split Shipment feature:
- Harmonized workflow for sellers: For sellers using Shopify for fulfillment, you are no longer required to jump between Shopify and the Marketplacer platform to manage your shipments.
- Improved shopper experience: Shoppers receive dispatch notifications when a part of their orders is shipped. They do not have to wait for the entire order to be shipped before notifications.
