A zone is a named set of postal codes that define a geographical area. A zone is linked to a shipping rate and shipping profile by a shipping rule.
As the marketplace operator, you need to understand the business logic that you have implemented for the interpretation of shipping rules. This will determine the valid data entries for the CSV shipping zone file.
Create a shipping zone
- Login to the operator portal.
- Go to Configuration > Shipping Settings > Shipping Zones
- Select Create new shipping zone.
The New Shipping Zone screen displays. - Add a name and description.
- If you do not have a CSV containing the postal codes, select Download CSV and edit the file.
- Select Choose file to set the filename of the CSV (or XLSX) containing the postal codes.
- Select Save Shipping Zone.
Edit a shipping zone
- Login to the operator portal.
- Go to Configuration > Shipping Settings > Shipping Zones.
- Select edit next to the relevant zone.
The Edit Shipping Zone screen displays. - Make the required modification. To change the postal codes, select Download CSV to get the existing postcode data, edit the file, and then select Choose file to set the filename of the CSV (or XLSX) containing the new postal codes.
- Select Save Shipping Zone.
Delete a shipping zone
Note: You can only delete a shipping zone if it is not being used in a shipping rule.
- Login to the operator portal.
- Go to Configuration > Shipping Settings > Shipping Zones.
- Select delete next to the relevant zone.
- Select OK to confirm the deletion.
