Seller-level shipping rates |
A flat shipping rate can be set per seller. These rates can be managed by the operator and the seller. If a cart contains multiple items from the same seller, and a flat shipping rate applies to the seller, one shipping fee will be charged on that cart. If a cart contains items from multiple sellers, and a flat shipping rate applies to one or more of those sellers, multiple shipping fees can be applied. These rates can be set for:
See Create a new seller. |
Product-level shipping rates |
Shipping rates can be set on products. As a flat shipping fee, where each line item increases the shipping fee for the order. As an additional fee for some products. For example, for big and bulky items. These rates can be set for:
See Create and manage products (Adverts) in the Seller Portal. |
Variant level shipping rates, using shipping profiles |
Shipping costs can be applied by setting a shipping profile on a variant. A shipping profile is linked to a shipping rule, which lets you apply shipping rates based on the delivery address and the line item. The business logic applied is completely up to the operator, and the implementation requires development effort. See About shipping rules. |
Category and variant level shipping rates, using third-party shipping integrations |
If you are using third-party shipping integrations, shipping can be calculated based on weight and/or dimensions. Weight and dimensions can be specified:
This shipping approach gives buyers the choice of fast or economical delivery, and carrier based on item-specific delivery calculations. Shipping integrations are enabled by the operator. The setting is either on or off: This requires manual updates to every category or variant or the use of a modified bulk upload spreadsheet to add weight and dimensions. |
Free shipping |
The operator or seller can set a free shipping threshold for domestic and/or international shipping at a product-level and/or seller level. Promotions (seller or sitewide) can include free shipping. Coupons (sitewide) can include free shipping. |
