An Invoice has failed to upload from your Marketplace to the seller's E-Commerce solution.
This email is notifying you that an order (invoice) has failed to be pushed from your Marketplace to Shopify. This means that the order will not have been pushed into the seller's Shopify store, and the stock levels will not have adjusted accordingly.
You can view this error in more detail, by logging into the seller portal > API&Intergrations > Invoices.
The error message which has been sent to us, from Shopify is 422 - There was a problem connecting with the Shopify API: A Shopify variant ID in line items is incorrect or unavailable.
For the invoice to be successfully pushed from the Marketplace to Shopify, the advert data needs to match. This error indicates that there is either mismatching data (invalid variant/ error in the barcode etc) or that the product doesn't exist/is out of stock on the Shopify end.
We will need to ensure that:
- That the advert has been created via the API, and not manually.
- That the variants have been created via the API, and not manually.
- The product exists (has not been deleted or is out of stock) in the seller's Shopify store.
- There are no import errors (i.e incorrect barcode/missing shipping details) that could be causing this error.
Under Integrations Manager/ M-Connect > Invoices, you will be able to view the failed invoice number. Search this invoice number in the Marketplace seller portal under Orders > Order History, to see the products sold and advert IDs.
To troubleshoot
- Search the advert ID in the seller portal, and check there are no invalid variants (this could be due to incorrect or incomplete mapping).
- Search the advert ID in M-Connect, and see if there are any import errors.
